USPS Stamps — Native Hawaiian Flower Edition
Collaborative Design
For USPS Stamps — Native Hawaiian Flower Edition, I was tasked to collaborate on a team and design a cohesive set of stamps for the United States Postal Service. As a team, we brainstormed, conducted research and agreed upon the theme of Native Hawaiian Flowers. Once our theme was selected, as a group we sketch to generate ideas that best fit the brief. The three flowers we decided to depict were the ʻIlima, ʻŌhia Lehua, and Pāʻūohiʻiaka. Three flowers that can be found within three different subdivisions of an Ahupuaʻa (divisions of land), subdivisions being Uka (mountains and Uplands), Kula (plains and Fields), and Kai (sea and nearby land). The medium we went with was digital illustration and typography.
