KapCC Campus

The Kapi‘olani Community College (Kapi‘olani CC) began in 1946 as the Kapi‘olani Technical School at a time when Hawai‘i was still a territory of the United States. The innovative school was administered by the Territorial Department of Instruction with a strong academic focus on food service.

Land Acknowledgement

Kapi‘olani CC Land Acknowledgement On behalf of the University of Hawaiʻi and its Board of Regents, I respectfully offer up this Hōʻoia ʻĀina, Land Acknowledgement, acknowledging Hawaiʻi as an indigenous space whose original people are today identified as Native Hawaiians. This acknowledgment honors the land we stand on and guides the way in which we speak and act.
